Design & Build Process
Architectural Innovation:
Spa Prof designed a sauna with a rounded, futuristic shape that softens its presence in the landscape. Its smooth edges and compact size blend perfectly with the surrounding rocks, moss, and trees.
Material Selection:
- Exterior Shell: A combination of wood and composite materials for durability and insulation.
- Glass Panels: High-performance, UV-resistant glass for energy efficiency and clear views.
- Decking: Sustainably sourced wood treated for resistance to moisture and weathering.
Construction:
- Modular components were pre-fabricated off-site to reduce environmental disruption.
- The sauna was carefully assembled on-site, with the foundation built to follow the natural contours of the terrain.
